I have been teaching online for two and a half years now. I started due to the need and crazy idea that students should be able to take credits online while on a semester abroad. The idea was not so crazy in the end, especially due to the fact that students in my class should be learning and reflecting on culture, so this made sense while doing their study abroad experience. The objective was for them to get to know more about their own culture, while exposed to a different one. This initiative further developed into two courses on culture: one more oriented towards theory and the other one a project-based course. Now, a couple of years and a pandemic later, I find that the topic of virtual teaching and learning has gained an immense amount of public attention which tends to include both the users' (students) and providers' (teachers) points of view.
